Pharmacy Assistant

The Pharmacy Assistants help Licensed Pharmacists provide clients with medication and other healthcare products. Pharmacy Assistants perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medications, such as counting tablets and labeling bottles. They also perform administrative duties such as answering phones, stocking shelves, and operating cash registers.

In addition, this program is designed to prepare the students with the skills and knowledge they will require to become a pharmacy assistant. Students will become familiar with pharmacology, pharmacy math, and pharmacy billing software.

Pharmacy Assistants play a vital role in a drugstore or pharmacy operation. Students will be able to:

• Experience ingenuity within the field as they formulate standard products such as medicinal lozenges, powders, creams, tablets, capsules, and suppositories.

• Learn basic human anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to help students identify the significant classifications of medicines to treat different conditions.

• Understand the scope of responsibilities, code of ethics, and legal and regulatory requirements in the pharmacy industry.

• Ensure that the proper medication or prescription products released are accurate and that there is no tampering.

• Assist the pharmacists in compiling the best possible medication histories for patients, referring to the pharmacist patients who require assessment, clinical interventions, or therapeutic use and knowledge application.

PROGRAM

In big companies and evolving health systems, Pharmacy Assistants with significant training, experience, and certification can be accelerated and promoted to supervisory positions, mentoring, and training pharmacy assistants with less experience. Some may be in advanced specialty positions, such as chemotherapy technicians or nuclear pharmacy assistants. This program will give the student the necessary skills:

1. What other programs/courses will the Canadian Health and Business College introduce soon?

2. What is the admission process for the programs the College offers?

3. What are the English language proficiency requirements for non-native English speakers? As an AI-powered assistant, I cannot evaluate the effectiveness of the writing. However, based on the content provided, some potential ideas to enhance the readability and clarity of the text could include the following:

1. Breaking up the text into smaller sections with clear headings to help readers navigate through the information more easily.

2. Provide more concrete examples or case studies to illustrate the benefits of Canadian Health and Business College programs.

3. Including testimonials from current or past students to add a personal touch and demonstrate the real-world impact of the College's educational services. Knowledge to be competitive in the field of expertise.
