Program Overview
This program provides in-depth training in clinical massage techniques, anatomy and physiology, treatment planning, therapeutic assessment, hydrotherapy, soft tissue manipulation, and professional practice standards. You’ll learn how to assess client needs, deliver targeted treatments, and support long-term health and recovery in a variety of healthcare and wellness settings.
What do Advanced Massage Therapy do?
Advanced Massage Therapists use a wide range of therapeutic techniques to reduce pain, improve mobility, decrease stress, and support holistic well-being. Their work is hands-on, client-centered, and grounded in strong clinical assessment skills.
Their duties typically include:
Performing therapeutic massage, conducting client assessments, educating clients on treatment plans and self-care, and maintaining accurate treatment records.
These skills prepare you to provide safe, effective, and compassionate therapeutic care to clients of all ages.

Admissions
Students must meet ALL of the following criteria

Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in Grade 12 English and a Grade 12 Mathematics, or non-Alberta equivalent

Successful interview with the Admission Advisor OR

Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma
(G.E.D.) with a standard score of 450 or better in English and Mathematics
Pre-practicum requirement -
Current Police Information Check (PIC) with a Vulnerable Sector
