A Medical Office Assistant (MOA) or Unit Clerk plays a crucial role in supporting doctors, nurses, and patients. They keep the front desk organized, manage patient flow, and ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately.
Their responsibilities often include:
Scheduling appointments, managing calendars, completing patient intake, maintaining and organizing medical records, handling billing and insurance forms, communicating with patients and healthcare staff, and performing day-to-day administrative duties that ensure seamless clinic operations.

Admissions
Students must meet ALL of the following criteria

Alberta high school diploma, verified by transcript, with 50% or better in Grade 12 English and a Grade 12 Mathematics, or non-Alberta equivalent

Successful interview with the Admission Advisor OR

Successful completion of the General Equivalency Diploma
(G.E.D.) with a standard score of 450 or better in English and Mathematics
Pre-practicum requirement -
Current Police Information Check (PIC) with a Vulnerable Sector
